About Us

Our Vision

The world is experiencing a crisis of meaning. Our ‘sensemaking’ institutions – government, media, education – are increasingly failing to provide either the intellectual or psychospiritual nourishment we need.

A new counter culture is filling the void, driven by a great intellectual awakening. It’s enabled by a different kind of media; more in-depth, more open and more democratic.

More than ever, we need conversations that include and transcend political leanings to take a nuanced and integral view of our biggest questions and challenges. How do we find meaning in our lives? What does a fair society really look like? How do we move beyond polarisation? Big questions can only be explored with open-minded, self-reflective, grounded discussions with those we disagree with.

Rebel Wisdom is a platform for these post-ideological conversations to take place. We create our content with the intention of engaging in the whole individual – intellect, body, and intuition. We believe true wisdom includes and transcends – rooted as much in metaphysics as politics, in psychology as much as biology. Conversations that strive for this can have a most transformative effect on our lives. Right now, they are also the most rebellious.

Who we are

David Fuller

David Fuller is a multi-skilled journalist and filmmaker – having worked for the UK’s top news programme Channel 4 News for ten years as reporter, producer and director. He was the first mainstream TV journalist to cover the renaissance of psychedelic science back in 2008, and has consistently focused on the revolutionary ideas and technologies on the fringes of the culture, and attempted to shift the cultural conversation.

He began making documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4 in 2011, primarily for the Emmy award-winning series ‘Unreported World’. His documentary ‘The Invisible People’, about the plight of disabled Syrian refugees in Lebanon was shortlisted for the “Royal Television Society awards in 2015.

This experience, combined with his intense interest in the evolution of ideas and philosophy (he studied philosophy at University in Manchester) – led to the birth of Rebel Wisdom – as a platform to make highly complex ideas accessible to as many people as possible. He also leads the Rebel Wisdom ‘New Masculinity’ weekends alongside Alexander.

Alexander Beiner

Alexander is a writer, facilitator and theorist. In 2012, he co-founded a successful meditation school, Open Meditation. As well as teaching individuals, he designed and delivered an innovative corporate creativity programme called MBIT (Mindfulness-based Ideation Training). As well as this, he has worked in some of the world’s top creative agencies and is also a novelist.

He is one of the organisers of Breaking Convention, Europe’s largest conference on psychedelic research and culture. His work on psychedelic theory has been published in the 2016 book ‘Neurotransmissions’, as well as ‘The Guardian’.

His interests lie in individual growth work, Integral Studies, psychedelic theory and the role of creativity in culture. Alongside David, he leads the Rebel Wisdom ‘New Masculinity’ weekends.
